Overview
The Muttering Birds after-school project is a 10-week beginner-friendly woodworking course.

Participants design and build a wooden automaton bird that ‘talks’ when a handle is turned.

Alongside developing templates, choosing woods, and learning tools like saws, files, drills, and sanders, students gain practical skills in shaping, finishing, and design – creating something humorous, beautiful, and uniquely their own.
